Cookie Hearts Recipe
- 1 c- Butter; unsalted
- 1 c- Sugar
- 2- Eggs
- 1 tb- Vanilla
- 3c - Flour
- 1 ts- Salt
- 1/2 ts-Baking soda
Icing:
- 1 c filtered Confectioners' sugar
- 2 tb Milk
Method:
- Beat the butter and sugar until light and feathery. Blend in the
eggs and vanilla; mix it well.
- Mix together the flour, salt and baking soda; and then put it
into the sugar mixture until well blended. Cool it for 2 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Divide the dough into quarters. Now, roll out one quarter on a
lightly floured surface to 1/8-inch thickness. Cut them into heart
shapes with a 2-inch cutter and place them on an ungreased cookie
sheet.
- Bake it for 5 to 8 minutes or until the cookies become brown at
the edges. Cool on a wire rack.
For the Icing:
- Mix together the confectioners' sugar and milk until smooth.
Spread on the cookies.
