Crafts For Mother In Law

A mother in law should only be seen and heard is what a famous saying says. Lucky is that girl who gets a mother-in-law in whom she can find a mother. But if you realize that you are also a mother-in-law in the making, you will understand her to a certain extent. It might be a surprise to know that there is a mother in law's day that is celebrated on every 4th Sunday of October, however even on mother's day, you could celebrate with your mother. You can find the nicer side of your mother-in-law if you put in a serious effort to it. Let this day be an opportunity for you to show a white flag to your mother-in-law. Craft Ideas for Mother in Law

Butterfly Candle Holders

Things You Need:
  • Small glass candle holders
  • Butterfly wrapping paper
  • Yellow tissue paper
  • Decoupage
  • Cuticle scissors
  • Small paintbrush
  • Damp paper towel
How To Make:
  • Cut out the pictures that you prefer to paste on the candleholder, using a cuticle scissors. You can even get the thin decoupages also instead of these cut out pictures. Here butterflies are used.
  • Clean the glass you’re working with.
  • Take a tissue paper and tear into small bits.
  • Using a paint brush, brush some decoupage on the back of the tissue paper. After sticking it, paint it with a coat of decoupage. Continue gluing the tissue papers covering the edges until whole of the holder is glued with the tissue paper bits.
  • Brush one last coat of decoupage on the tissue paper and let it dry completely.
  • Using a damp towel, wipe off the excess decoupage. Keep it for at least an hour to dry.
  • Once it is totally dry, paste the butterflies on to the glass holder.
  • Your imagination can go wild here. After pasting the butterflies, you can coat it with decoupage 2-3 times after drying each coat. Your holder is ready.
Grapevine Ball

Things You Need
  • Mini grapevine wreath for stand (approx 4")
  • Ribbon - 2 yds
  • Dried or silk flowers
  • Hot glue gun
How To Make:
  • Choose flower stems appropriate to the theme or colors
  • Set the grapevine ball in a bowl with a string attached to it for hanging.
  • Cut stems and attach leaves to them with glue.
  • Make a bow with the ribbon and glue it to the grapevine.
  • Glue the bottom of the ball to the grapevine wreath stand.
  • Glue the flowers as well.
  • Here is your grapevine ball ready to be gifted.
