Spritz Cookie Recipes For Mother's Day

Recipe 1

Ingredients
  • 2 cup Butter kept at room temperature
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 ea Egg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 3 1/2 cup all purpose Flour
  • 1/2 cup Cornstarch
Directions
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Cream butter and sugar with the help of electric mixer, until it becomes light and feathery. Mix it in egg and vanilla.
  • Now, add flour and cornstarch to it and mix until fully blended.
  • Put the cookies over ungreased baking sheets.
  • Bake for about 10 minutes or till it becomes light brown and firm.
  • Put to racks and cool them.
Recipe 2

Ingredients
  • 1 cup softened Margarine, use butter if not available
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 1  large Egg Yolk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2 cup All-purpose Flour
  • Half cut Red candied Cherries, for garnishing
Directions
  • At first, heat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Meanwhile, beat margarine or butter in large bowl, mixing it with sugar in a mixer at medium speed. When it becomes creamy, add egg yolk and vanilla.
  • At low speed, pound in flour until blended. Scrap the bowl with rubber spatula intermittently.
  • In a decorating bag with large star tip, spoon half of the dough. Pipe dough to form rosettes of 1½ inches diameter.
  • You can put a cherry at the centre of these preparatory cookies before baking.
  • Bake cookies for around 12-14 minutes. When they show light brown coloured edges, cookies are ready. Leave them on the cookie sheet for about 2 minutes so that they get settled.
  • Take help of pancake turner to remove them from sheet and place on wire rack. Let them cool completely.
  • Your cookies are ready.
  • Redo the process with remaining dough.
  • They can be stored for a week, but in an air-tight container.
Recipe 3

Ingredients
  • 1 cup Softened Butter
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Almond Extract
  • 2 cup All-purpose Flour
Directions
  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Put butter and sugar in a mixer and beat them into mixture at low speed until blended.
  • Now, gradually raise the speed to high level. Continue beating to get light and creamy batter.
  • At low speed, in a different bowl, mix egg and almond extract. Beat in flour until blended.
  • Using a spoon, press the dough into cookie press or large decorating bag fitted with large star tip (3/4-inch-diameter opening).
  • On a baking sheet, give the dough S shapes of approx 2 1/2 inches long and 2 inches separate.
  • Bake the cookies for 15-17 minutes; you will obtain light brown coloured edges.
  • Leave cookies as they are on the cookie sheet allowing them to cool.
  • Let them cool completely by shifting them to wire rack.
  • Repeat the same process for remaining dough.
  • Cookies are ready to serve.
  • You can store them for around a week in an air-tight container.
