She was born as theelder daughter of soap opera actress Susan Lucci and Austrian businessman Helmut Huber on February 22, 1975 in Long Island in New York. Being fluent in Italian and German, she completed her education from Universities like Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute, Terry Schreiber Studio and Lynette Sheldon Actors Studio with a degree in communications and specialisation in film production. Making her television debut in 'Ebbie' in 1995, which starred her mother, Susan Victoria Lucci, Liza Huber has revealed in many interviews about the inspiration she drew from her actress mother. It is said that it was her parents who initially identified the actress in her. Susan Victoria Lucci, an American actress, television host and industrialist, popularly known for her character of Erica Kane on 'All My Children' is one of the highly paid actors in daytime television. She was honoured with a star on the Hollywood walk of Fame for her immense contribution to television.

Just as her mother, Liza Huber made her presence felt in television shows. She came back to be part of 'Passions' in 2002 where she took over the character of Gwen Hotchkiss. Liza got married to her childhood friend Alexander Hesterberg III in March 2004.

Susan Lucci has appeared in plenty of melodramatic television movies which includes Mafia Princess (1986), Lady Mobster (1988), French Silk (1994), Seduced and Betrayed (1995), and Blood on Her Hands (1998).
